THE PORTOBELLO CARDIGAN
This pattern has been thoroughly tested. See the testers finished sweaters in the Project Gallery.
Lovely mid-season cardigan with round yoke and easy lace pattern. Great for two colored work, also stripes.
Body and sleeves are made in plain dc.
The body is slightly increased for A-shape.

Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, 2X Large, and 3X Large.
CHOOSING SIZE
Measure the bust width across a similar garment in your wardrobe, compare with the measurements in the list below, choose the closest size.
This will give a better fit than following the size letter you would normally choose:

S: Across: 43 cm/17’’ - Around: 86 cm/34’’
M: Across: 47 cm/18.5’’ - Around: 94 cm/37’’
L: Across: 51 cm/20’’ - Around: 102 cm/40’’
XL: Across: 55 cm/21.5’’ - Around: 110 cm/43’’
2XL: Across: 60 cm/23.5’’ - Around: 120 cm/47’’
3XL: Across: 65.5 cm/25.75’’ - Around: 131 cm/52.5’’
YARN:
DK/Worsted/ 3/ 8 ply.
Any fiber suitable for the project, obtaining the given gauge.
My yarn: Drops/Belle, cotton/linen mix.
50 g skein (1.8 oz), 120 m (131 yd).

Amount is given in 50 g (1.8 oz) skeins. Note: For contrast
color on the yoke, the 4 largest sizes need 2 skeins:
S: 350 g (12.5 oz) - 7 balls (6 MC-1 CC)
M: 400 g (14 oz) - 8 balls (7 MC-1 CC)
L: 450 g (16 oz) - 9 balls (8 MC-2 CC)
XL: 500 g (17.5 oz) - 10 balls (9 MC-2 CC)
2XL: 550 g (19.5 oz) - 11 balls (10 MC-2 CC)
3XL: 600 g (21 oz) - 12 balls (11 MC-2 CC)
TOOLS:
Crochet hook, body and sleeves: E/4 (3.5 mm), or any hook size to obtain the given gauge.
Recommended for the lace sections: Hook G/6 (4 mm).
