Portrane Sweater
INTRODUCTION
This is a loose-fit sweater pattern knitted top-down, primarily in stockinette. There are striped sections using a textured pattern with slipped stitches in a contrast yarn. The front and back pieces are knitted straight and then joined in the round to work the body section. The body is designed to finish at the natural waist for a slightly cropped fit. The hem, cuffs and turtleneck collar are knitted with 1 x 1 twisted stitch ribbing.
This jumper is named after Portrane, a seaside town in North County Dublin. It’s the ideal sweater to accompany walks along the beach or to wrap up in after a dip in the Irish sea.
