K2P2 rib edge is followed by stockinette stitch crown. Number of rounds worked in each color varies.

Hat is worked from lower edge up to crown (top of Hat).

Hat is worked in the round, beginning with a circular needle, then changing to double pointed needles (dpns) when stitches have been decreased.

If you prefer, the entire Hat can be worked on double pointed needles.
