This is the pattern for a possum appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.

I’ve used 2 ply cotton and a 1mm crochet hook, but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

• Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat 2 ply crochet cotton colours (393) Charcoal, (074) Mercury, (106) Snow White, (222) Tulip, (110) Black and (238) Powder Pink for the claws if desired, you could use Tulip instead.
• A crochet hook, I used a 1mm hook.
• A darning needle to weave in ends.
• A pair of scissors.
• 2 black beads for the eyes.
• Thread and needle to stitch the possum together.
• White fabric paint or white thread for the white dot in the centre of the bead.
