Notes
Sweater body is knitted from the top down, first flat and joined in the round at the underarms. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round from the top down. Sleeve caps are shaped with short rows.
The Stripe Sequence is worked throughout the body and sleeves. You will work it starting at different points and in a different order depending on your size and the part of the garment being worked.
Due to gauge differences, the Vertical Stripes use a different size needle and are fewer rounds deep than the stripes worked in stockinette stitch, although it may not be necessary for you depending on your gauge. If you do need different needle sizes, don’t forget to change needles between the Vertical Stripes and the other stripes.

Notes
トップダウンで編むセーター. 身頃上部は往復編みで脇下まで編み, 前後繋げて輪で裾まで編む. 袖はアームホールから目を拾い袖山を引き返し編みで編んだあと, 輪にして袖口まで編む.
身頃と袖全体にストライプ模様を編む. サイズや編む場所によって, ストライプ模様の開始場所や順番が変わる.
ゲージが違うため, 縦ストライプはメリヤス地の横ストライプに比べて, 違う太さの針を用いて少ない周数編むことになる. しかしながら、ゲージによってはその必要がない場合もある. 複数の太さの針を用いる場合, 縦と横のストライプの変わり目で針を変えるのを忘れないようにすること.
