The Posy Shawl is a half-circle blanket shawl where the placement of the increase rows play off of the relationship between the radius and the circumference. While that sounds super mathy, what it really means is that there are only five increase rows in the whole shawl! Other than the color changes tossed in to keep it interesting there is almost no counting. We all need a project like that every now and again. The color change rows include a heavily modified version of the dandelion stitch which I call the posy stitch. These special stitches are what take the Posy Shawl from a Super Easy Beginner level to a Brave Beginner. The posy stitch is simple enough once the technique is acquired, and a detailed description is given in the special instructions section below. Just a warning: before blocking, your shawl will look like ruffly chaos. The Posy Shawl requires wet blocking with pins and a good stretch to relax those ruffles from flouncy af to a cozy romantic curve.
