The 2024 Potholders Galore Crochet Along by This Pixie Creates, runs from Wednesday, July 10 - December 11. There are a total of 13 potholder patterns included in the crochet-along.

Each potholder uses cotton yarn, between 135 and 230 yds of yarn, and works up in a few hours. This is a great way to use yarn from your stash, learn some new stitches and techniques, and make something functional for the kitchen.

The ad-free printable PDF is $10 for all 13 patterns. When a new potholder pattern is available to download, you’ll receive an email notification from Ravelry.

If you’d like to be notified when each pattern is released, you can join the 2024 Crochet Along Email List HERE.

This listing is for the premium ad-free PDF version of the pattern. You can find the free patterns on my blog (linked below) with ads, or the complete video tutorial for each section on YouTube - it’s the exact same pattern, but if you buy the PDF you get a nicely formatted, printable, ad-free pattern, and support a small business. Thank you!

Crochet terminology: US Terminology

Language: English

Skill level: Advanced beginner to Intermediate. The first two potholders are beginner friendly and will help us learn the basics of crocheting in the round, before we build upon these skills over the rest of the crochet-along. There are complete video tutorials and step-by-step pictures included with each pattern, so adventurous beginners are encouraged to try!

Sizes: The pot holders range in size from 7” - 8” in length and width, and will be specified in each pattern.

Gauge: The gauge changes depending on the pattern. Therefore, a gauge will be included with each specific pattern.

Materials:

  • 4.0mm and 5.0mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • 2-3 Stitch Markers or Safety Pins
  • Yarn: You can use any Medium 4 Worsted weight 100% cotton yarn of your choosing.

Acrylic yarn, cotton blends, or other fibers are not recommended for potholders because they will burn/melt under excessive heat. 100% cotton or wool are the safest material to use for potholders.

Potholder Construction:
Each potholder pattern is constructed the same way: in the round. This technique creates a double thick potholder that is crocheted in one piece and doesn’t require any sewing (except for weaving in your ends at the end of the project).
