The 2024 Potholders Galore Crochet Along by This Pixie Creates, runs from Wednesday, July 10 - December 11. There are a total of 13 potholder patterns included in the crochet-along.

Each potholder uses cotton yarn, between 135 and 230 yds of yarn, and works up in a few hours. This is a great way to use yarn from your stash, learn some new stitches and techniques, and make something functional for the kitchen.

The ad-free printable PDF is $10 for all 13 patterns. When a new potholder pattern is available to download, you’ll receive an email notification from Ravelry.

If you’d like to be notified when each pattern is released, you can join the 2024 Crochet Along Email List HERE.

This listing is for the premium ad-free PDF version of the pattern. You can find the free patterns on my blog (linked below) with ads, or the complete video tutorial for each section on YouTube - it’s the exact same pattern, but if you buy the PDF you get a nicely formatted, printable, ad-free pattern, and support a small business.

Crochet terminology: US Terminology

Language: English

Skill level: This crochet-along builds upon skills throughout the CAL. We start off with two beginner friendly potholders to learn the basics of crocheting in the round, and move onto advanced beginner patterns, before tackling some intermediate level patterns at the end. There are step-by-step pictures, and complete video tutorials included.

Sizes: The potholders range in size from 7” - 8.5” in length and width and will be specified in each pattern.

Gauge: The gauge changes depending on the pattern. Therefore, a gauge will be included with each specific pattern.

Materials:

  • 4.0mm and/or 5.0mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch Marker or Safety Pin
  • Yarn: All potholders are crocheted with I Love this Cotton! yarn.

YARN NOTE: 100% cotton or wool yarn is recommended for potholders because they don’t burn under extreme heat. Cotton blends, and other fibers like acrylic, should not be used.

Potholder Construction:

Each potholder pattern in the same way. It is crocheted in the round, then crocheted closed at the top. This creates a double thick potholder, with an invisible seam, and no sewing.
