Potion Bottles
Before going to the Renaissance Festival this year, I was thinking of things that I could make and give away to random patrons at the festival. I wanted something that didn’t take a lot of yarn, and something that would work up fast. Potion bottles came to mind, so I just freehanded five different shapes. They went over well and I actually gave away every single one that I made. Afterwards, I decided that I would make some more and write down the patterns as I went. This download includes all five different bottle shapes that I created.
Materials:
4mm hook
worsted or DK yarn - 4 colors needed - potion color (your choice), bottle color (I used white), cork color (I used a metallic goldish color yarn, tan or brown will also work), and chain color (I used gold #10 thread, but regular yarn will work as well)
scissors, stitch marker, & yarn needle
Terms used:
SC - single crochet MR - magic ring INC - increase
FO - fasten off DEC - decrease FLO - front loop only
SLST - slip stitch CH - chain ST - stitch
I just realized that round 18 of bottle #5(beaker) is missing the decrease, it should read 18.)SC x2, DEC around (18)
