Potted Cactus Collection
The potted cactus plants pattern is a collection of 5 different styles of cacti that can be created in various different colors and combinations for home décor, markets or gifts. The pattern features instructions to make 5 different cacti and 2 different flower options. The flowers require basic crochet knowledge, however, there are links to tutorials in the pattern as well and the flower can be omitted.
Skills required:
- Basic knowledge of circular knitting machines (such as Addi or Sentro) is required
- Basic crochet skills (for optional flowers)
- Basic sewing skills
Supplies required:
- 22 pin knitting machine
- Worsted weight (size 4) yarn for your main cactus color, dirt color, cactus lines/needles and flower color
- Size H 5.0mm crochet hook for large flower
- Size F 4.0mm crochet hook for small flower
- Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
- Thin cardboard or cardstock paper
- 2” diameter mini pots for the small potted plant, 3.5” diameter mini pots for the large potted plant
- Yarn needle (for sewing and casting off)
- Scissors
- Optional: safety eyes and black thread to add a face
Finished size of the plants (not including actual pot used):
- Mini barrel cactus: 5.25” tall, 2.5” wide
- Large barrel cactus: 3.5” tall, 3” wide
- Sanguro cactus: 4” tall, 3” wide
- Prickly Pear cactus: 4” tall, 2.5” wide
- Columnar Cactus: 4” tall, ~1.5” wide
