Before you start, note that:

  • The Cactus and Soil pieces are worked in spiral.
  • The Terracotta Pot and Sombrero are worked in joined rounds.
  • It helps to place a stitch marker at the end of each round.
  • All stitches (except front-post and back-post stitches) are made in both loops unless otherwise stated.

Abbreviations:

  • ch: chain
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • sc: single crochet
  • dc: double crochet
  • fpdc: front-post double crochet
  • bpdc: back-post double crochet
  • FLO: front loop only
  • BLO: back loop only
  • n: the round has a total of n stitches
  • inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
