I wrote this pattern some years ago. It’s not tested, but there are several projects.
Please note that there is no pattern support on my free patterns.

A drawstring pouch, perfect for holding a minor crochet project. It uses less than 50 g of each color DK yarn. The pouch is worked top down in the round.
Measurements: Height (measured from edge of bottom) and width: 6 ½ ‘’/ 16.5 cm. Bottom diameter: 4’’/ 10 cm.

Stitches: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet stitch, decreasing (2 single crochet together). You have to know how to work into front or back loop of stitches, too.

Technique: a combination of mosaic crochet and overlay crochet (there are other ways to work mosaic crochet than described here, and the overlay technique is more than working on a grid – so I call it a combination). The background is worked with single crochet stitches in back loops. The colored pattern is obtained by working double crochet stitches in front loops two rounds below (usually same color as working color), or front post double crochet stitches (FPdc) around a stitch.

Some process pictures are included in the pattern description.
