Prairie Gansey
Easy to knit, this charming pullover includes steeked armholes, and sleeves worked from the armholes down. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up on the wrong side so a decorative ribbon can be sewn over the cut edges on the right side, reducing the bulk at the armholes of a traditionally faced edge. The left shoulder is finished with buttons and loops to make pulling the top over baby’s head easier.
Great in a hand-painted yarn as shown, this sweater would look just as good in a solid color.
Although this pattern is rated for experienced knitters, if your skills are at an intermediate level and you want to advance your skills, this is a pattern you may want to try.
