Prairie Glass Mitts
Modern mitts spotlight a graphic motif inspired by the stained glass windows of iconic American designer Frank Lloyd Wright. This pattern was originally designed as a kit in collaboration with Huckleberry Knits and the gradient colorway used for CC and shown in the photographs isn’t widely available. I recommend using stripes of gradient mini skeins to mimic the effect or try a handspun, self striping, or solid color yarn for a different look.
SIZES + MEASUREMENTS
Pattern is written for 3 sizes to accommodate most teen and adult hands. Directions are given for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses as follows: SM (MD, LG).
CIRCUMFERENCE: 7½ (8¼, 9)”
LENGTH: 7¼ (8, 8)”
To find your size, measure around your palm above the crook of your thumb. Choose the size that’s circumference is closest to - a little bit of negative ease is fine. Sample shown is Adult S on a 7½” palm circumference with ½” negative ease.
