When I go for a walk around my neighborhood I see a grand total of 4 homes - in about 2 square miles. The rest of the view is miles and miles of grass. The slightest breeze sends beautiful ripples through the fields. Prairie Grass Cowl was inspired by those beautiful fields.

This cowl is worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up. After working a small ribbed section, the remainder of the cowl is knit in an intuitive and easily memorized lace pattern. The cowl is finished with additional rounds of ribbing followed by a stretchy bind-off.

Knits up quickly with a small amount of yardage. Perfect for those special single skeins. Is simple enough for beginner knitters.

Cowl size can be easily customized by adding or removing pattern repeats.

Materials Required

-200 Yards sport weight (all samples were made using Selah Yarn Co sport which can be purchased here)

-US4/3.5mm 16” circular needle (or size required to meet gauge)

-stitch markers/darning needle
