Prairie Leaf Vest
Bison yarn is a warm and cozy fiber, when mixed with Merino it creates a wonderful fiber to work with.
This yarn has a great halo allowing this project to be worked on larger needles showing of the great lace panel back. This yarn makes a great outerwear fiber, the finished project is lightweight but still warm. Knitted in one piece, this vest is an excellent quick knit that results in a truly head turning completed project. The i-Cord border and bind off creates a streamlined edge that compliments the lace perfectly. With no bust darts or shaping and a simple lace chart repeat this pattern is an excellent project for knitters of most experience levels.
The pattern is written for the size bust you are fitting, the overlap in the front is calculated in and does not need to be taken into account when sizing, meaning, chose the actual bust size of the person you are knitting for. If the measurement falls in between a size listed, round up to the next largest size. This project is knitted in one piece starting with the bottom edge, you knit the front panel, then the lace back, then the other front panel on each row. Knitted up to the arm, the stitches for the back and each front panel are knitted separately while the others are on stitch holders, all panels are then brought back together at the shoulders.
