These verdant socks bring the beauty of a blooming meadow to mind. The Prato Socks feature flowers at the cuff
worked with bobbles, twisted stitches and eyelets. These socks are also decorated with dainty lateral braids at the cuff
and heel. They are worked cuff-down with a heel flap, a gusset and a wedge toe.

Sizing:
Sizes 1 (2, 3) (4, 5) correspond to a sock of 56 (60, 64) (68, 72) sts and are designed to fit a
leg/foot circumference of approx. 18 (19, 20.5) (21.5, 22.5) cm / 7 (7.5, 8) (8.5, 8.75)“.

Finished measurements:
• Leg/foot circumference (A): 16 (17, 18.5) (19.5, 20.5) cm / 6.25 (6.75, 7.25) (7.75, 8)“.
• Cuff length (B): 4.5 cm / 1.75”.
• Leg length (C): 12 cm / 4.75” – adjustable.
• Foot length (D): adjustable.

For a comfortable fit, choose a size with a leg/foot circumference that will give you a negative
ease of approx. 1.5-2.5 cm / 0.5-1”.

Gauge:
35 sts x 48 rnds = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” on 2.5 mm / US 1.5 needles in St St after blocking.

Needles:
2.5 mm / US 1.5 circular needles of 23 cm / 9” and 80 cm / 32”. Or needle size needed to reach gauge.

Yarn:
One 100 g skein of fingering weight sock yarn is sufficient for all sizes. The exact quantity of yarn needed will vary
based on your leg and foot lengths.
The sample is worked in Rosa Pomar Mondim colorway C579 (100% fine Portuguese wool; 385 m / 421 yds – 100 g).
