I created this preemie afghan when I was unable to find a pattern for a friend who had a baby 10 weeks early. It has a basket weave pattern and is thick to keep them extra warm. Finished product will be approx. 21” X 22”, but I have included instructions on how to resize the pattern to make it bigger (for a full term baby).

Finished sizes:
Preemie - 21” X 22”
Baby - 30” x 34”
Toddler/Small Throw - 42” x 44”

Yarn: #3 DK/light worsted
