Preemie Bonbon Hat

Use three colors.

With color A start wit a magic ring.

Rnd 1: ch 3, 11 DC in ring, join in top of ch 3. Pull ring closed.

Rnd 2: ch 2, 1 DC in the same st as joining. 2 DC in each st around, join.

Rnd 3: ch 2, 1 DC in same st as joining. 1 DC in the next st, 2 DC in the next st, repeat for around. Join.

Rnd 4: ch 2, 1 DC in same st as joining, * 1 DC in the next 3 sts, 2 DC in he next st, repeat from * around (note- this around will not end endly just follow around and join as usual)

Rnd 5: ch 2, DC in each st around, change to color B at the end of this round.

Rnds 6-8: ch 2, DC in each st around, change to color C at the end of rnd 8.

Rnds 9-12: ch 2, DC ineach st around, join after rnd 12.

Rnd 13: ch 2, * fpdc around next st on the previous round, bpdc around the next st, repeat from * around. Fasten off, Weave in ends.

This pattern is easy to adjust for larger sizes. Add another increase row and and a few more rows to increase the length. Use a larger hook for a loser texture. It is a very basic pattern but ready for any add on. End with a shell edge instead of a ribbing edge.
