Prelude – a musical introduction to a composition. This hat pairs a garter stitch brim with a woven garter stitch. It’s all knits and purls and moves along quickly to completion. The wide garter brim is snug and warm over the ears. The hat is available in 5 sizes with options for beanie and slouchy fit. There are 3 brim edge options. The pattern has both written and charted instructions.

Instructions are given for a Classic, Doubled Contrast Edge and a Rolled Edge options to begin the hat.
Skills Required Casting on, working in the round, knit, purl and the k2tog decrease.
