Prenzlauer
Prenzlauer cowl uses a variation of tuck stitches allowing colors to blend into one another.
You can either use solid constrating colors which will emphasize the brioche entrelac of threads, or a fading speckeld trio which will disolve imperceptibly into the pattern rhythm.
The cowl came on my needles a bit (or a lot!!) because of my regular visits to Aimée’s shop! It’s amazing display of colors made me want to use all the skeins!
The pure shape of the cowl offers an open field to cast on right away and play with stitches and colors.
Yarn: For your own Prenzlauer you will need a little less than 290 yards (265 m) of each color in a fingering weight yarn. La Bien Aimée Merino singles are 400 yards (366 m) per 100 g.
Needles: 32” (80 cm) circular needles in US #3 (3.25 mm) or size needed to optain gauge.
Gauge: 4”x4” in tuck pattern after blocking: 22 sts and 54 rows.
Prenzlauer est aussi téléchargeable en Français.
