These socks are inspired by my memory of growing up in a farm house which had a pressed tin ceiling. While quite simple in their design, to my young eyes, these ceilings were ornate, beautiful and intriguing.

The design also has a festive bauble feel about them, ideal for seasonal knits as gifts or to keep for yourself.

I wanted a design that would allow the gorgeous main colour yarn that I had to showcase – to shine and to be seen – this design provides that perfectly.

These toe up socks are worked with a heel flap and gusset.

The instructions for the construction of the socks are written and the colour work pattern is charted.
