This hat has unusual construction, and the sizing is up to you. Measure around your head and make the size you want.

Yarn: One skein Andalien by Araucania or other aran-weight yarn. Amount needed will depend on size. The baby/toddler size used 85 yards. An adult version would need two skeins.

I used size US 8 needles in both 16” circular and a set of DPNs to construct this hat. Gauge is not important because the sizing is determined by the wearer’s head, and the spiral strip band is knit to fit around the head twice. Then edge stitches are picked up and knit to form the cap.
