Pretty Crochet Cap
NOTE: This pattern was published an Australian Newspaper, 1937. It therefore uses UK Crochet Terms
Also: I have filled in some of Ravelry’s Criteria based on generalizations ie yardage. Please read the description below and draw your own conclusions based on your needs.
There is no gauge given, nor any measurements to calculate from. I will be sure to include my gauge on my project page!
FROM THE PATTERN:
By special request again, here is a lesson on making a little crochet cap, with a gay flower posy perched on one side. You can use any coloured wool you like for the cap, and make the flowers In mixed shades. The model was carried out in bright blue, with flowers in red and white -all ready for Coronation Day!-but, of course, you will please yourselves. LOL A black cap, with flowers in red, blue, yellow and green, looks very gay.
You will need three ounces of double knitting wool for the cap, and oddments of four-ply wool in various shades for the flowers. Use a medium crochet hook, and begin the brim with seventeen chain.
