Pretty Pastels Yarn or Gift Bag
These yarn keepers (or, gift bags) are especially handy for knitters who prefer to work while they walk. HInt - if you knit this with a kitchen cotton, it makes a very nice, small reusable produce bag - think Zero-Waste!
This little bag, unlike my other yarn bags, has a slightly flared top band in stockinette stitch, and is worked with a double strand of fingering (baby) or sport weight yarn. It’s a very easy pattern for any skill level - maybe a good project for beginners? These will hold one of those humongous commercial yarn cakes - or, in the case of a necessary photo prop, a 6” glass bubble vase.
There is no gauge required for this pattern - for a different sized bag, consider using either a smaller or larger needle.
Knowledge of stitches required:
Cast-on, Knit, Purl, K2T (Knit 2 together), YO (Yarn over)
