Shibui Silk Cloud lends a handsome luster and subtle halo to this wee pocket square. Silk Cloud is a lace-weight mohair blend with a core of silk (a significant 40%!). This floaty fiber, held doubled throughout, creates a smooth fabric that takes dye beautifully—perfect for a dashing accent such as this! For a touch of tweedy depth, why not try marling two colors together?

FINISHED SIZE
8 x 8”/ 20 x 20cm, after blocking.

YARN
1 skeins Shibui Silk Cloud ( 330yds / 300m each), held double throughout.
Or approx. 110yds/100m total of an equivalent lace-weight mohair yarn.
Shown in color 115, Brick.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 5 (3.75mm) circular needle, or size to obtain gauge.
US D/3 (3.25mm) crochet hook for provisional cast-on.
Smooth fingering-weight waste yarn or knotting cord for provisional cast-on.
Locking marker.
Blunt darning needle to finish.
Blocking wires and T-pins.

GAUGE
22sts & 32rows=4”/10cm in stockinette stitch with yarn held double, after blocking.
