I call these Pretty Pony Ears but they could also work as kitty or puppy ears.

They are shown in the pictures as being worn on the head with the assistance of four bobby pins. They are super cute when sewn onto a hat.

These ears can be made smaller by decreasing the number of cast on stitches to a smaller number (must be an odd number). They can be made larger by increasing the number of cast on stitches (must be an odd number).

Use bulky yarn for thicker ears or felt for stiffer ears.

These ears are made to stand on their own somewhat easily without any felting.

Larger versions of these ears may not stand up as easily on their own.
