This top is knit with Aran cotton yarn (or similar) from the bottom up, then the front and back are divided and each side is worked flat separately. The cable pretzel pattern is only worked for the front of the piece and size/gauge can therefore easily be adjusted around the body outside of the marked pattern stitches.

Materials:
• 4 Balls Yarn and Colours Epic cotton yarn in Chestnut or similar. Similar yarns to this one include Paintbox cotton yarns, Hobbii 8/8 cotton in terms of thickness and stiffness. You can also use WATG Shiny Happy Cotton or WAK Pima Cotton but I suggest a gauge swatch first as these yarns have more drape and are a little thinner.
Note yardage required is around
375 – 500, depending on size.
• 4mm circular needles (60-80cm long ones ideally), 5mm circular needles (80cm), and a 5mm DPN (for the cables and to bind off the straps)
• Stitch holders/spare needles/scrap yarn, stitch markers
