The EbonyAndTeal Prickly Pear Cactus pdf knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions and is suitable for an intermediate knitter. It so quite a large knit, so please remember to allow sufficient time if making it as a gift.

What you will need:

2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice)
20g dark brown DK yarn (e.g. Stylecraft Special DK 1054 ‘Walnut’ or 1004 ‘Dark Brown’)
50g green DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 498 ‘Playing Field’ or Stylecraft Special DK 1065 ‘Meadow’)
20g dark pink or magenta DK yarn (e.g. Stylecraft Special DK 1083 ‘Pomegranate’)
10g peach DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snugly DK 493 ‘Coral’)
10g dark grey DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 506 ‘Elephant’)
10g medium or light grey DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 487 ‘Cloud’)
Oddment of white DK yarn (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 251 ‘White’)
Polyfil toy stuffing
Medium-sized plant pot (ideally 3.5 inches/9cm internal diameter)
2-3 washed stones or other weights (optional)
1 tapestry needle for finishing
