Pride Kippot
Show off your pride with unique pride flag kippot using a special spiral technique to avoid the “stepwise” color changes common in striped crochet kippot. This guide includes patterns for 6-, 5-, and 4-stripe flags, with suggestions for how to handle mirrored design, several drawings illustrating stitch technique, and detailed instructions on 2 different methods. Please note that if your flag contains 7+ stripes or other design elements, you may not be able to achieve it using this guide, but I hope in the future to be able to offer instructions on these as well. Message me if you have any comments about expansions to this guide, as I’m always looking towards the next project.
This pattern uses standard mercerized cotton crochet thread (size 10) in various colors depending on your flag, and a 1.5mm crochet hook.
Crochet terms and abbreviations use the American standard. This guide is not for beginners as the spiral technique involves frequent color changes and multiple rounds of stitches worked simultaneously.
You may sell items that you make with this pattern, but the pattern itself is copyright protected and it should not be reproduced, redistributed, or displayed publicly in any way. I would appreciate credit (preferably with a link/URL) if you do sell items (and please do show me pictures of things you make so I can see your lovely work).
