A line of beaded lace is eye catching. The 2X2 rib makes this sock perfect for any shaped leg. It will always look as good as it feels. Eye of Partridge Heel, a classy, textured heel, is strong and beautiful.

Written only for women’s size medium.

MATERIALS:
300-350 yards sock yarn—I used Spud & Choë Fine Sock Yarn (Superwash 80% wool and 20% silk) Eggplant color #7816
Four Size 2 double pointed needles or to make gauge PLUS needles in one to two sizes larger for cast on
2 stitch markers
28 size 6 seed beads—I used Mt Tr Teal AB 2405FR/20938 Northampton Beadery, Northampton, MA
US 9 (1.25mm) crochet hook OR 6 inches of 26 gauge bead/craft wire (SEE PAGE 2) to place bead

GAUGE: 28 sts/ 38 rows in 4 inches in stockinette stitch swatched in the round

NOTES:
No need to pre-string beads! Pick them up as you work them in.

You may alter the length of the leg as you wish. More or fewer beads will be needed based on changes you make in leg length. This pattern places 14 beads on each sock—28 beads in total.

A 2X2 rib makes this sock perfect for any shaped leg. It will always look as good as it feels. Eye of Partridge Heel, a classy, textured heel, is strong and beautiful.

A traditional cast on like long tail is fine, but firm. I prefer a stretchy cast on and Jeny Staiman’s is very nice. Find a video of Jeny’s CO here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n8E3I6Cg2k Other stretchy cast ons can be found in “Cast On, Bind, Off: 54 Step-by-Step Methods” by Leslie Ann Bestor.
