Pattern Description from One-Skein Wonders: 101 Yarn-Shop Favorites: “This bag may look primitive, but it uses currently popular felting techniques and au courant novelty yarn to get that look. Embellished with bones and beads, no one will know you actually whipped it up yourself.”

Measurements: Approximately 7.5” (19 cm) wide and 13.5” (34.5 cm) tall with 30” (76 cm) handle, before felting, and approximately 4” (10 cm) wide and 4.75” (12 cm) tall with 20” (51 cm) handle, after felting. (Note: Exact finished measurements will be determined by the yarn and the point at which you stop felting.)

Yarn:

  • Brown Sheep, Lamb’s Pride 85% wool/15% mohair, 4 oz (113 g)/190 yds (174 m), M101 Sandy Heather
  • Norwegian Spirit (SandnesGarn), Funny, 100% polyester, 1.75 oz (50 g)/98 yds (90 m), small amount 3482 Chocolate, optional

Needles: US 15 (10 mm) straight needles or size you need to obtain correct gauge

Other Supplies: Crochet hook, beads, baubles, feathers, or other adornments
