Materials Needed:
1 skein Red Heart “Soft” in color of your choice
5mm (H) hook, or hook needed to meet gauge
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitches Used:
sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
BPsc = back post single crochet
Additional Terms:
Working in the 3rd Loop of hdc - Instructions: Look at the top of the stitch, and locate the sideways “V”, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is called the 3rd loop.When working in rows, this loop will be facing you!
Gauge:
16 hdc in 4”
Measurements:
12” by 12” when blocked
Additional Notes:
-ch 1 does not count as a stitch, ch 2 and 3 do count as stitches.
-This pattern starts with a rectangle in the center, then the outer trim is added, and finally the ruffle is worked along the ridge from round 1
-Chains do not count as stitches for edging rounds
