Primrose
The primrose was Benjamin Disraeli’s favourite flower and due to this Primrose Day and the Primrose League were given their names in honour of this. The flowers and leaves are both edible; tasting like lettuce or bitter salad greens. The young flowers can also be made into wine and the leaves may be used to make tea.
This pattern is worked in the round and I use abbreviations according to US crochet language.I can provide the pattern in UK crochet language if preferred, please just contact me.
The finished primrose is approximately 1.75” (4.5cm) in diameter. This flower would make a beautiful hair-clips or a brooch.
