Garden Flower Bottle Cap Coaster Series

Welcome to another series of Bottle Cap Coasters!

To celebrate spring, summer, and the return of flowers, I have designed a set of garden flower coasters. Each pattern contains a flower design, with ideas and inspiration for variations on that pattern. I’ve also included a photo of what I call my “mixed bunch” coaster, showcasing all the designs I’ve come up with so far, to wet your appetite for future patterns and to show how lovely the different designs look when they’re put together.

Each coaster requires a total of about 85 yards of thread and 7 twist off bottle caps. I use a 1.25 mm hook so that the stitches are tight enough that the caps don’t show through, even with light or white thread.

Primroses come in a variety of colors. Traditionally shades of yellow, they can be found in reds, pinks, purple, and even blue. There are many with two- or even three-toned petals. However, they always have a yellow-colored center.
