PRINCE or PRINCESS HAT / PRINS eller PRINSESSELUE
The crown on top makes this the perfect hat for the little “prince” or “princess”.
Nowadays it is very popular with the little flap in the front (so-called devil hat), but originally this model was used for boys, and the girls’ hats did not have these flaps. Both variants are included in the pattern.
The hat is knitted back and forth in one piece and mostly in garter sts. The top of the hat is knitted in stockinette stitches, while the motif is formed by purl stitches according to a diagram. This makes the hat very elastic, and gives it a good fit.
Sizes: Newborn - 3 months - 6 months - 1 year - 2 years Circumference approx.: 30 - 35 - 37,5 - 40 - 45cm (very elastic)
Yarn:
55g Lotus CASHMERE DK - 100% cashmere -
or
50g Pinnsvin’s KILLINGENS FØRSTE 350 (100% baby cashmere). - two strands (Grey hat)
1 skein may be enough for two hats
This hat is exceptionally nice in cashmere yarn as it gives such a fine and clear stitch definition, and in addition this is a fantastic quality for young children with soft skin.
Only the best for little princes and princesses!
The PRINCE or PRINCESS HAT fits SYMBOL baby cardigan and shoes, and this combination is a beautiful layette set.
(Forklart i oppskriften).
