Who said handmade socks were only for winter? Princess Cuff Shorties are the perfect quick project to knit on in the heat, and perfect to wear even in the warmth of the summer months.

These shorty socks feature a lovely texture pattern on the foot, making it easy to count your rows. You can even stash bust and mismatch your socks with yarn scraps so you don’t have to change colors!

The Princess Cuff Shorties feature a fun cuff detail using the Picot edge technique. Pattern comes with a full video tutorial showing you two methods to achieve this look. All in all, the Princess Cuff Shorties are quick, fun, and something new to learn! Exactly what Summer is all about!

This sock pattern also contains instructions for my Short Cut Heel in both garter and stockinette stitch. It’s a Heel construction that requires No Short Rows!

Pattern Notes:

Yarn/Yardage- 50 grams of fingering weight yarn will be enough for any one size. Sample was knit with Knit Picks Stroll Tonal (75% super-wash merino wool, 25% nylon; 462 yards per 100 grams) in various colorways.

Needles- 32-40 inch / 80-102 centimeters circular needle for magic loop in size US 2 (2.75mm). Or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge- 32 stitches and 56 rounds over 4 inches / 10 centimeters in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Sizes- There are 5 sizes in the pattern, and the differing instructions for each are written as 1 (2, 3, 4, 5). Each size will give you a foot circumference measuring 5 (6, 7, 8, 9) inches / 12.5 (15, 18, 20, 23) centimeters.
