The pattern is written in U.S. terms. Using a 3.5mm hook will be approx. 29cm high & 9.5cm wide.
I use stylecraft special double knit for most of my applique patterns but any double knit yarn is suitable. Gauge is not important
It looks gorgeous on a toddler blanket. It can easily made taller if you want a bigger tower. It looks great on a wall hanging too.
