Princess Kate Shawl

The shawl seen worn by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, whilst out shopping was the inspiration for my design.
My pattern shows instructions for 4 ply and DK but can be knitted in any yarn weight. The yardage shown is approximate and will depend on the size of shawl you wish to knit and the yarn weight used. The shawl is designed with a textured stitch for the shawl body and with long, flowing side wings, like Kate’s.
My shawl is knitted from end to end with no stitches to pick up at the end. The ruffle is knitted in garter on my sample shown above but can of course be knitted in stocking stitch if you prefer. The pattern has been tested and is complete.
