This is such a fun scarf to make. It’s super easy and looks especially good in a fluffy yarn with lots of body.
While the pattern was originally made for CW reenactors, it’s totally appropriate for modern day when made in modern yarns. How about a yarn with sparkles, beads or glitter?
Gauge: Not important.
Yardage: Great for yarn leftovers. I bought two skeins of Naturespun Worsted, one of each color, and that was plenty. There was 245 yards per skein.
The body of the scarf is knit flat and then sewed up to form a tube. The crochet hook is needed to make the cords for the pompoms.
I don’t give instructions on how to make the pompoms.
