Print O’ the Wave Beanie
Print o’ the Wave Beanie
This beanie was created using a traditional Shetland lace pattern - “the print
o’ the wave’. I wanted to show how delicate Shetland lace can look even when using a heavier weight yarn. Shetland lace knitting has recently been named as an endangered craft by the Crafts Council so this was designed for those who wished to try a smaller scale lace project in a traditional craft skill.
A little concentration is required on a couple of the rows as the start of round marker moves to allow the lace pattern to stay correct. Please take care to follow the written instructions alongside the charted lace.
