Printemps (Springtime)

Springtime is worked flat from the center out and is worked in four sections I call blocks - four on each half. The provisional cast on actually marks the center of the shawl. Each block is larger than the last, so they will steadily increase in size, yet connect in a fun, zigzag shape! There is no seaming. It’s worked as one piece.
This shawl was originally written for the Frolicking Feet Transitions yarn which allows the color changes to naturally coincide with the block changes. Nearly all 480 yards of each skein is used to knit this shawl, so count on using 950-960 total yards. It moves rather quickly once you get started.
This is almost like a sampler as there are four different sections in each half of the shawl. The first and fourth are textured, the second includes a slipped stitch design and the third includes a charted, basic lace design.
Happy Knitting!!
