Prism Rainbow Blanket
The Prism Rainbow knitted blanket is the perfect accessory to wrap your baby in or to add color to your home! It’s a great project to let your imagination fly and experiment with color, and to once and for all use everything in your stash! The pattern comes in two sizes and a coloring chart for you to plan and visualize your blanket even before you start.
Skill level: Easy
Materials
YARN: DK yarn (size 3) in as many colors as you want. Each triangle requires about 20 m. The Baby Blanket has 32 triangles and the Adult Blanket has 72 triangles. It’s recommended to use 8 colors for the Baby Blanket (80 m each) and 12 colors for the Adult Blanket (120 m each). For the edging you will need between 200 - 300 m of a contrasting color, separated into 2 balls.
Sample used Alize Baby Best, 90% Acrylic, 10% Bamboo; 240 m per 100g ball - used 1 in each color.
NEEDLES: 5 mm circular needles on a 80 cm long cable.
NOTIONS: 2 stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
Gauge: 13 sts x 26 rows in garter st flat = 10 cm x 10 cm
Sizes + measurements
This pattern comes in 2 different sizes: S (Baby) - 100 x 100 cm; and L (Adult) - 143 x 143 cm.
