Prisma is an oval-shaped shawl with a lace border and a body worked in alternating garter and stocking stitch, short-row sections. The combination knit in a light (lace or fingering) yarn leaves you with a stunning shawl!

The lace border uses a modified version of the stitch pattern in Vintage Purl’s Ladies Jersey.
A number of years ago my Mum sent me a link to the ladies jersey which she wanted me to knit for her. The pattern was from the 1940s and was neither easy to follow nor understand! I eventually worked my head around it and loved how the stitch pattern in it looked. I have since wanted to knit a shawl using this stitch pattern but knew that I would have to re-write and simplify the pattern. I hope that I have achieved this here.

The lace section is charted and colour-coded for simplicity. The pattern also contains some photo-tutorials to help with this section.
The short row sections are written instructions, with concise directions on how to work German Short Rows.

The laces section is simpler than it looks, however it does need some concentration.
