Granny squares are all good and fun, but I have a special love for granny diamonds, they are both fun to make, and can be combined into endless combinations. For this blanket I have organised the diamonds in a chevron style pattern to add some extra interest. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Hook: 3.75mm (F)
Yarn: Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK, 125m/50g (137yds/ball)
Yarn quantity:
Joining and border: 3 balls of Vanilla Cream (306m/335yds or 122.5g used)
Diamonds: 1 ball each of 10 colours (106m/115yds or 42.5g used per colour) 
Size diamond: 14cm/5 1/2” long, 10cm/4” wide (Measured tip to tip)
Size blanket (80 diamonds): 100cm/39” long, 75cm/29 1/2” wide
