I choose the name of the pattern watching a “Bollywood” movie on TV. Yes, confessions: I am a fan of SRK and I am not embarrased at all. g Bollywood is ideal for knitting large pieces, the movies last for hours. The colourful surroundings add to my knitting fantasy: what if the heroine would have worn a wonderful feathery stole? Dancing, swirling, wrapped around her precious body? That might have changed everything!

The look of the stole depends on the yarn. A fine yarn as for example our wonderful lacy baby-alapaca with mulberry silk brings more triangles to the stole. A thicker yarn as used in the original lavender version with needle size 6 mm shows only a few triangels.

The stole can be knit (and has been knitted before there was ravelry so that there are no photos) sideways or bottom up, in stockinette or garter stich, with or without a lacy character. Each Priya was knit with 2 harmonic colours and 1 colour as a contrast.
