Progress Cowl
by Ann Szwarc
Progress was conceived as a one-skein project, meant to call to mind the stripes and chevrons of the Progress Pride flag.
Progress is a kerchief-shaped cowl. It is worked modularly, in order to keep the width of the stripes relatively even.
Grab a skein of your favorite self-striping or gradient fingering weight yarn, and make your own Progress.
Neck opening: 26 1/2”
Depth: 21 1/2”
Techniques: German short rows, picking up stitches, basic increases and decreases
Notions needed: stitch markers, needle to sew together and weave in ends. Crochet hook the same size as knitting needle may be useful for picking up stitches.
