Progression
Sideways triangular crescent shawl with beaded edging. This is designed to work with my Color Sreps yarns. The versions made with Fiberlady Mousou yarns are worked with the yarns held double and do a blended color progression.
Available on Ravelry and at Fiberlady.com.
Progression Shawl by Michele Harlass for Fiberlady yarns.
100% bamboo knitted shawl with beads. The lace and beads are confined to the final 15 rows of the pattern. The entire shawl is done in stockinette stitch or eyelet stitch lace.
This pattern is written to use the Fiberlady Makimo, Mousou or Mousou ICE Color Steps yarns.
Bead sets are available separately.
Requirements (sold separately):
Needles: US 6 (4.0mm) 14” straight or 24” or longer circular
Yarn: 770 yd DK weight yarn or 1100 yd lace weight yarn
Beads: 150 6/0 seed beads
I had a lot of fun knitting this shawl. The eyelet lace in the body was super simple to work up and looks so much more complicated than it really is.
There are several color progression suggestions in the pattern and there are many more that you could dream up while you are knitting the pattern.
This would also work very well to use up related colors of leftover yarns in your stash. Using fingering weight held double you can create a range of shawls from the same basic beginning.
