Progression Hat
This pattern is a simple mosaic knitting pattern to create a repeating colorwork motif! The motif can be repeated or mirrored, both charts and written instructions are included.
Yarn: DK weight yarns, my samples used Woolens and Nosh Squishy DK (231 yds/100g; 100% Superwash Merino) for the purple and green version, and Kimber’s Cozy Creations Tough DK (245 yds/100g; 75% Superwash Merino/25% Nylon) for the version with the grey brim. The hat can be made with 3 20g minis and 40-50g (40 is enough for the two smallest sizes) if the largest color is used for the brim and the top. One of the samples was made with 5-20g minis, but the brim was cut a little short to allow for enough yarn to use it as the main color in the first pattern repeat.
Needles: US4 (3.5 mm) and US7 (4.5 mm) circular needles (or size needed to obtain desired gauge, 16 in or 40 inch to magic loop) and dpn in the larger size, if not using magic loop.
Other notions: 8 stitch markers and a tapestry needle to sew in ends
