Proizd sweater
For those of you already introduced to the Lilynet Collection, here is another variation of the Lilynet pattern stitch - Proizd. I hope you will like it!
There is also the matching hat here.
This sweater is done in a pattern stitch that is an interesting combination of brioche knitting, double knitting and cabling. Brioche elements give this hat additional elasticity and an interesting texture.
This is advanced pattern and only should be done after the knitter is already familiar with brioche. Otherwise it will be too time-consuming. For more experienced knitters it might be an interesting choice.
The sweater is customizable. It is done top down in the round. Before sleeves are separated it has some short rows in PS too. After sleeve separation sleeves and body are continued in the round. Edge trim is done in single crochet.
Finished gauge: 24sts x 34rows per 4”(10cm) on Stockinette stitch. Pay attention if you use this yarn. Gauge is obtained with previously washed wool with 3,5 mm needles, but it can also be obtained with unwashed wool on smaller needles 3,0 mm with the same wool. Just be sure to wash your sample after knitting it to obtain the right gauge!
You should choose bounce-back material such as wool or acrylic for this project.
Sizes: XS/ S / M / L / XL/ 2XL for bust: 30”(77cm) / 35”(89cm) / 38”(97cm) / 42”(107cm) / 46”(117cm) / 50”(127cm).
Tools: One set (5) size (3,5mm/US 4) double pointed needles (dpn’s), circular needles 3,5mm/US4 80cm, two cable needles (cn), crochet hook size 3,5mm/US4 Two cable needles (cn), needles 5mm(US8) for bind-off, tapestry needle

This would mean depending on the size, you should need between 1600-2500 yards of wool. Note: Combinations of merino/wool/acryl or blend of merino/wool with some cotton or synthetic should be considered. Material that you choose should have some resilience, bounce back.
If you use baby merino, it is recommended to wash the yarn before knitting or do a washed, finished gauge after knitting it.
